Green Beauty Tips in Honor of Earth Day

Attention all Pretty Girls, Earth Day is fast-approaching this Saturday and we’re kicking off a sweet celebration to honor mother Earth. This Saturday when you purchase any Pretty Girl product we will donate 50% of all proceeds to Friends of the Earth, an outspoken environmental organization that represents more than two million activists in 75 different countries.

Today I am also sharing my favorite green beauty tips. If you are all about all-natural, green beauty then this blog post is for you! First off, here is a great recipe for an all-natural coconut oil, lemon, and yogurt face mask. Ingredients Include:

*Juice of one organic lemon 1 tsp

     *Organic coconut oil 1 tsp

    *Organic plain yogurt 1 tsp

This face mask will hydrate, exfoliate, and nourish your skin while also helping it from aging or damage. Add all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Slather a thick coat all over your face, throat, and chest. Wait 15 minutes, wash your face with warm and then cool water to close your pores. Pat dry with a fresh towel.

Achieving All-Natural Beauty

I start off every morning with a tall warm glass of water with 1 tbsp. of Braggs Apple cider vinegar, probiotic, and supplements. I then make a green juice made from blending organic coconut water, green apple, 2 handfuls of spinach, kale, a slice of fresh ginger and Turmeric. I make enough to have 3 more glasses during the day. I limit sugar and alcohol to Friday and Saturday only. I also do power hot yoga one hour a day to sweat out toxins and release all the tension. My skin glows after class and all my cares seem to have gone away.

The Magic of Coconut Oil

I use organic coconut oil for everything! Aside from keeping it in my kitchen I also keep a jar of it in my shower for use on my face and hair. I also use it all over my body, feet, and hands. By the time I’m done my skin is soft and exfoliated.
