Welcome to our Pretty Girl appreciation post where I am going to show you how to get the most out of each of our products. I’ve written down all the essential makeup tips I have acquired over my years of being a professional Makeup Artist so that I can share the art of makeup with all of you. I’m going to help you with everything from lip gloss to bronzer. Here at Pretty Girl Makeup, our mission is to bring you the freshest, most natural cosmetic products to help you look and feel good. When you wear one of our products, you’re wearing the result of several years of hard work. We mixed and matched pigments, natural ingredients, and other essential components to create one-of-a-kind products that deliver the results you want.
Choose from several fabulous products including lip glosses, lipsticks, mascaras, eyeliners, and bronzer. What you’ll find with each Pretty Girl product is quality makeup with a fun and catchy name. We love giving fun names to our products because we want our clients to know that there is a lot of thought, love, and humor that goes into each product. Our lip glosses sport names like “Love of all Loves”, “Darling“, and fan-favorite, “Rich Husband“. Choose from gorgeous lipsticks with names like “Pretty Girl Lunch“, “Day at the Spa“, and “Private Jet“. These are just a few of the amazing products we offer to beautify those not so glam moments of life.
Curl lashes (with a lash curler if desired).
Sweep mascara on from the root to the tip of the lashes. Add extra mascara to the lashes in the outer corner to give a lusher look.
Use ball tip to get the corners and hard to reach lashes.
Apply 2-3 coats for added volume and length.
Pro Tip: Do not pump air into your mascara by pulling your wand in and out, that is the quickest way to dry your mascara. Mascara is not like wine, it does not get better with time. Enjoy your mascara for 3-6 months and then replace it with a fresh new one.
Line your upper and lower lash line by applying a thin line of black or brown liner to the roots of your lashes. A thick line is going to make the eyes appear smaller while adding a shadow with similar color will soften the look and hide any mistakes from the liner. Bonus, it will give longevity to your look.
Use a Q-tip to clean the corners of your eyes with a touch of makeup remover if you make a mistake and it becomes a colossal mess. DO NOT line the waterline (the inner part of your eye) as it can cause a nasty eye infection.
Use your eyeliner to fill in your brows. This is my favorite trick because it frames the brows and gives a sophisticated pop to your eyes which are always the focal point of your beautiful face.
Bronzer is what I like to call a brush away from looking like you’ve just had a weekend at the beach, without the sun damage. Swish the bronzer lightly on your skin on top of your foundation or alone to give some color if you are feeling pale. You want to apply your bronzer where the sun would naturally hit your face: checks, forehead, temples, bridge of nose, and under the chin.
Now it’s time to contour using your bronzer. Using two types of bronzers on your face will give you a natural look so that you’re not so shimmery. You can use a shimmery bronzer on top of the cheek bones and a matte bronzer under the check bones. You can also apply the matte bronzer around the hair line from the top of the face, to the ears, to the chin and jawline.
Pro Tip: If you’re wearing a low-cut shirt you can also apply bronzer to the bones under your shoulders. Try using a smaller, more precise makeup brush instead of a powder brush. This will allow for a better contour.
Instead of just outlining your lips with your lip pencil, fill in your lips with it. The lip pencil will stain your lips with color which will lock in your look all day.
Add your favorite color of lipstick over the lip pencil.
Add a layer of lip gloss which gives the illusion of fullness plus the added benefit of longevity. The gloss will moisturize, hydrate, and beatify your lips. You can go either way with this last step, you don’t have to layer lip gloss and lipstick. It really just depends on the look you’re going for.
Pro Tip: Drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily will keep your lips full, and soft. Dehydrated and cracked lips are never going to be your best look. It’s an easy fix by not drinking too much caffeine or sugar and moisturizing your lips daily.
